Paragliding
is a recreational and competitive flying sport. A paraglider is a free-flying,
foot-launched aircraft. The pilot sits in a harness suspended below a
fabric wing, whose shape is formed by its suspension lines and the pressure
of air entering vents in the front of the wing.
"It's always better to be on the ground and wishing you were flying in
the sky, than wishing for the ground when you are up there...the higher
we rise, the smaller we appear to those who have no idea about flying"

Watching in Nainital
Of
the 8650 species of birds in the world, India is home to as many
as 1200 (roughly 14%), out of which 141 are endemic to Nainital
District Region.
Even more astonishing is the fact that out of the total 27 Orders
and 155 Families that bird life has been classified into, Out of

of vegetation.
From the heights of the highest Himalayas to the greatest mangrove
forest delta in the Corbett National Park, the land is unique, making
Nainital District a home for some of the most sought after wild
birds in the world.

Kumaon Himalayas Mountain Biking Tours
The gentle Himalayas of the Kumaon region must be one of the most picturesque
in the country, with giant terrace fields straddling the green mountains.
The bicycling track is through flat valleys in the Almora district of
the Kumaon Himalayas. The open valleys are scattered with little rivers,
villages and small town. The Journey begins at Bageshwar an important
religious centre famous for the temple of Lord Baijnath; this is a part
of Binsar wild life sanctuary. A dense cover of Oak forests, which abounds
in wild life, commonly seen is leopards, barking deer and wild boar. Breathtaking
views of snow covered peaks dominate the far horizon. Read

With a major chunk of area under forest cover and comprising mainly of
hilly terrain, all the three Himalayan ranges, the greater, middle and
lesser. Even after much of development, there are acres and acres of hilly
terrains that are untouched and far away from the daily hustle bustle
of crowds. That's where the trekkers step in. With so much of raw, natural
wilderness, Uttaranchal is a trekker's paradise. There are places which
are in their most primitive forms, in state of pure wilderness.
