The
Corbett National Park : is regarded
as the heaven for Tigers as well as its
prey including varieties of Deers, wild
boars and other lesser known animals. If
you want to track leopards then you can
locate them in the hilly part of the Park.
Elephants are one of the main attractions
of the Corbett Park. In the southern part
of the Park you can spot the Dole or Wild
Dogs and Jackals. The Langurs can be spotted
all over the Park.The best way to explore

Jeep Safari is the most convenient way to
travel within the Corbett National Park
can be very useful for Tiger tracking. You
can also spot fish-eating Gharials and marsh
Crocodiles on the way. Wildlife enthusiasts
can also choose the option of Elephant Safari
for tracking Tigers.
Following international appeal to save the
world's most magnificent beasts, Project
Tiger was launched with the help of World
Wildlife Fund on April 1st 1973, making
the Corbett Park a heaven for the tigers.
1. Jeep Safari In Corbett National Park
:- The jeep safari allows the wildlife
enthusiast to cover large distances in the
jungle in a short span of time, allowing
tourists, wildlife lovers and photographers
to cover large tracts of park in a day.
Open jeep roofs allow for a good 360 degrees
view of the wild jungle around, while the
vehicle also provides ample security to
the animal watchers.
2. Elephant Safari In Corbett National
Park :- An Elephant Safari is the more
traditional and adventurous way of paying
the jungle a visit. The height of the animal
ensures that you get a wider view of the
wild, and you are less likely to distract
the tiger!
Corbett National Park has a very varied
wildlife and you are sure to see elephants
all over the park. Apart from tigers, leopards
and other cats such as the leopard cat,
jungle cat, and fishing cat are also found
here. The sloth bear, Himalayan black bear,
dhole, jackal, yellow-throated marten, Himalayan
palm civet, Indian grey mongoose, common
otter, porcupine, and black-naped hare are
the other wildlife attractions of this area.
The green landscape of Corbett makes it
a refreshing getaway and an excellent place
to experience jungle safari.

Dhikala Canter Safari :- Canter Safari
(Bus Safari) is also a popular way to explore
Corbett national park. Canter safaris can
only be done in Dhikala Zone, and it is
the only way to explore Dhikala Zone if
you are not staying in any FRH (Forest rest
house) in Dhikala. Canter safaris are operated
by park authorities and can be booked at
their Ramnagar office. The Canter Safari
in Corbett Park can be experienced from
15th Nov till 15th June and it is operated
twice a day during this specific period.
As seats are limited for canter safari,
hence, it advisable to book them in advance.

Wildlife
The park embraces the picturesque broad
flat valley consisting of vast Savannah
and surrounded by hills drained by small
rivers .Savannah woodland ,bamboo brakes
dry deciduous forests and Sissu-Khair forests
provide as variety of vegetation and consequently
habitats for different species of wild life.
The Ramganga river Elephant Herd In Corbet
tmeandering its way through the park with
some deep pools and foaming rapids forms
the main water source.Good size patches
of thick elephant grass growing along the
river banks and moist localities provide
ideal shelter to the tiger. The forests
in the park mainly consists of Shisham,Sal
& Chir.
