Bijrani Safari Zone :- Bijrani safari zone is as good as Dhikala zone and endowed with all those flora and fauna you heard and know are in Dhikala Safari Zone. Bijrani safari zone consists of tourism, buffer and core areas at jim corbett national park. Bijrani zone of Corbett national park is the most popular with tourist looking for a day visit at Corbett national park.Visiting core areas is not allowed.The Bijrani safari zone is located at a suitable distance from ramnagar and most of the resorts at Corbett national park which makes it most convenient gate for visiting the national park.The entry gate to the Bijrani safari zone is known as amdanda gate. This zone is in proximity to the famous entry zone Alamanda, which is just one kilometer from the mesmerising city of Ramnagar. After making entry into this park, you cross about five kilometer buffer zone while arriving at Bijrani. And soon after you enter this zone, your jungle safari begins.

Bijrani is a beautiful spot known for its vast grasslands, deep forest and stormy drains and wild life. Bijrani has mixed topography with thick sal forests interspersed with grasslands.There are a large number of stream beds which are mainly boulder strewn paths. Along the side of the streams there are riparian forests and thick lantana bushes due to which tiger sighting chances as compared to other tourism zones is higher in this area. Once you reach the Bijrani Campus you can avail the elephant ride also.

Please Note : To visit Bijrani safari zone, you need permission from the Director, Corbett Tiger Reserve. As per the norms, as many as 30 vehicles maximum are allowed to travel Bijrani safari zone. The number of permitted vehicles remains same in morning and evening hours. It is strongly recommended to make advance booking for morning and evening safari. The permission is granted on the first come and first serve basis.

Jhirna Safari Zone :- Among all the zones, the best and most comfortable for tourists is Jhirna Safari Zone. Jhirna Forest Lodge is located southern boundry of the Corbett National Park, 16 Kms from Ramnagar. Every year huge number of visitors visit Jhirna Zone to witness the amazing wildlife beauty of the park. Jhirna Zone is endowed with relatively more natural beauty.

This is the only Tourist zone in Corbett National Park which is open for all 12 months. It’s compulsory to take a guide along.

Please Note : To visit Jhirna safari zone, you need permission from the Director, Corbett Tiger Reserve. It’s a normal procedure which includes verification of your identity and address. The process doesn’t take much time and soon you get to enter the park.

Durga Devi Safari Zone :- Durga Devi Safari zone is located within the Jim Corbett National Park, 28 Kms from Ramnagar.Durgadevi Safari zone is a hilly area and is situated along the banks of Ramganga River.Every year huge number of visitors visit Durga Devi Zone to witness the amazing wildlife beauty of the park.It is spread in huge area and serves purposes like elephant safari in corbett.It is one of the best places for the Nature and Wildlife lover’s. It is perfect places where you can relax your body and soul in the soothing climate with the presence of wildlife make this place more attractive.Enroute to durga devi zone,the animals you are most likely to spot are some rare species such as grey headed fishing eagle, crested laughing thrush, black chinned Yuhina, maroon orile, slaty blue flycatcher, long tailed broadbill, little forktail, and bar tailed tree creeper. Lohachaur forest area is renowned for wild elephants and the undulating terrain provides excellent opportunity to see the leopards.

The zone can be easily spotted from the north-eastern boundary of the Park. The entrance gate is located just some kilometres away from some quality resorts.You have to get the permit issued by the corbett national park before you proceed to Durgadevi Zone.The zone is open from Oct 15 to June 30. The zone remains closed during rainy season because roads do not support easy ride.
